The Framework is designed to run alongside – or integrate with – existing project management methodologies and approaches such as Agile, PRINCE2Ò, PMBOKÒ and hybrid methodologies. As a result of applying the Framework, project teams can use AI ethically efficiently and effecitvely. Additionally, organisation governance functions and roles like the Chief AI Officer can provide assurance to their Board that AI is being used resposibly in projects.
"Success hinges on our ability to masterfully blend our wonderful human expertise, experience and wisdom with AI capabilities. The key isn't to be driven by AI, but to drive success with AI as an assistant."
Emanuela Giangregorio

The AI Project Governance Framework (AIPGF) offers a sensible methodology for facilitating ethical, efficient and effective human-AI project collaboration.
By implementing the Framework, organisations can systematically govern AI use across their portfolio of projects and programmes, as their AI adoption scales and as AI tools evolve. The accompanying AI Project Governance Capability Maturity Model (AIPG-CMM) can be used to establish maturity benchmarks and actions towards continuous improvement.
